Frequently Asked Questions:
Q: Is electricity available in the camp?
A: Yes, we can always charge camera batteries, cell phones, laptops, etcetera, but as we are located deep in the bush we are reliant on solar power for our electricity needs and you cannot plug in your fridge.
Q: Are the tents en-suite?
A: No, unfortunately our tents currently are not en-suite.
Q: Is the camp children-friendly?
A: Because of our location inside the fence of the National Park and the dangers involved with large game walking through the camp, we do not allow children under twelve years of age to stay at the camp.
Q: What should I bring?
A: Toothbrush and camera
Q: Is it possible to pay by credit card?
A: No, it is possible to pay in Malawi Kwacha, US$, Euro, British Pound and we also accept payment in cell phones, cameras and laptops. Please note that ATM's in Liwonde itself only accept VISA-cards and to use a Mastercard you have to go to a Standard Bank (i.e Mangochi, Balaka, Zomba).
Q: Is internet available in the camp?
A: No, we don't have internet facilities, but there is cell phone coverage by TNM and Airtel in the camp. Internet services using these (i.e. by dongle) usually work in the camp.
Q: Are towels provided?
A: No
Q: Is there security in the camp?
A: Yes, there is always at least one guard on duty, not because we have had any problems, but to inform guests about the movement of wildlife in and around the camp.
